SSH Tunneling and Exadata ILOM

Unfortunately we don’t always have the luxury of direct and unrestricted access to the web/Java based Sun ILOM. I’ve compiled a list of ports required for the HTML interface as well as the Java based remote console from various sources, and this now seems to work quite well.

You’ll need to setup a tunnel (say, from 127.0.0.1:PORT_NUMBER) for all of the following –

443 (this is likely the only one you need if you JUST need the Web interface – power control etc)
5120
5121
5123
5555
5556
6481
7578
7579

Once you have these tunnels set up, you should be able to browse to https://127.0.0.1 (if that is the local address used) and have access to the Web ILOM interface and Java remote console.
